Required documents

To support your application, make sure you have the following ready:   

Proof of Australian citizenship or residency 

Items such as your passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
 


Official academic transcripts and completion certificates 

For all previous studies (complete or incomplete). Ensure you include transcripts from the year you graduated as program content may change over time. 



Translations (if applicable) 

If your documents aren’t in English, include certified translations. 



Evidence of English language proficiency (if applicable) 

If English is not your first language, provide IELTS results, a letter from your employer or other documentation of fluency. 

Complete and submit your application

The application process is straightforward and only takes around 15–20 minutes to complete.

Here’s what you’ll need to provide:

• Personal and contact details
• Program selection and preferred start date
• Previous study history
• Work experience (if applicable)
• Supporting documents

What happens after you submit?

Once you’ve submitted your application, the next steps are simple.

Track your application

After submitting your application, you can track its progress through your Apply Online account. It typically takes 2–3 weeks for UNSW to assess your application and you'll also be able to upload any additional documents if required.

Receive a letter of offer

You’ll receive an email with the outcome of your application. If successful, you’ll get either a full offer or a conditional offer if further steps are needed. If you’re working with an agent, they’ll also receive a copy of the email.

Accept your offer

If you receive a full offer, you’ll get an email with a link to your personalised offer page. This page will guide you through the process of accepting or deferring your offer. International students will receive an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) once the offer has been accepted and the deposit is paid.

Enrol online

When enrolment opens, you can enrol in your program and courses online via myUNSW. We recommend enrolling in all your courses at once to stay on track with your program. If you need assistance, our friendly advisors are here to help.
