The Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security comprises three core courses and one elective course. Graduates of this certificate program can seamlessly progress to the Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security to further deepen their expertise and advance their studies.

General admission requirements
To be eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security you must have:
- Have completed a bachelor's degree or higher-level qualification (or equivalent); OR
- Applicants who have not completed a bachelor's degree or higher-level qualification are required to have a minimum of 2 years relevant or professional experience* in cyber security or other cyber-related positions.
*Relevant experience includes being responsible for tasks within cyber-related role that may include technical or governance roles. It can include experience of managing a small team, being a team leader, and managing a relevant project.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place. Study plans and completion times might vary depending on elective choice, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), leave and subject availability. For more information, speak with a Student Advisor.
Entry via nested qualification
Generally, if you successfully complete a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security, you can progress to the Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security, and from there, to the master's by coursework degree.
English language
You may need to provide evidence of English proficiency to study at UNSW. This ensures you can succeed in webinars, coursework and assessments. Proof can include:

FEE-HELP available
Eligible domestic students can apply for FEE-HELP, a government loan to cover all or part of your tuition fees for fee-paying places. The loan amount is added to our HELP debt, which is repaid once your income reaches the repayment threshold.
You can apply for FEE-HELP as part of your acceptance to UNSW Online. The form will present itself during your final stages of online acceptance if you are eligible.
